Oregon Football: Spring Game Nike Uniforms Released To Public

by Bryan Kalbrosky

Always a cool day to be an Oregon fan: when we get to see the first Nike uniforms of the season.

In this album by Oregon Football on Facebook, Nike released the uniforms that Oregon will wear for the upcoming spring game tomorrow morning. The uniforms (one set in black and one set in white) also feature “Support Our Troops” lettering highlighted on the backs of the jerseys.

Perhaps another highlight is the slick and clean helmet and American flag golden stitching on the jerseys.

Oregon fans look forward to kickoff at the intersquad game at 11:00 AM on April 27.

ESPN: Oregon Ducks Enter Best Jerseys in Sports Uni Bracket Tournament

You know that the Oregon Ducks have the best uniforms in college sports. So let’s make sure that ESPN knows as well.

Now it’s time to remind the world. In the “Hill & Schlereth” poll on ESPN Radio, the University of Oregon has entered the finals and currently maintain a lead over the University of North Carolina for the “Best Uniforms in Sports” tournament. Our goal as the Oregon student section: blow the competition out of the water.

Let’s keep up the hype and let the world know: no one has better uniforms than the University of Oregon. To vote, click here.

Oregon Pit Crew: Nike Fuel Giveaway at Matthew Knight Arena

You’ve seen the video that Nike Fuel made for the Oregon Pit Crew on YouTube. Now it’s time for you to see Nike Fuel in person.

After an incredible video with Nike Fuel (
http://youtu.be/QAwQ8tMlDVs) Oregon has been selected as the next destination for a SURPRISE visit from Nike to crash their campus. On Friday at 5:00 PM, Matthew Knight Arena will be open for a giveaway promotion presented by Nike Fuel. At the event, Nike will drop a crate from the ceiling full of Nike merchandise.

To get the gear, 200-250 fans (first at the door!) will work out with the cheerleaders from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, and cheerleaders will distribute Nike gear to those who work the hardest. There will also be two master Nike trainers in attendance with free gear to be distributed as well.

“I’m here because it’s a chance to generate fuel points for our team and beat Oregon,” said Gators student Goeto Dantes. “We love Nike, and we’re here to represent The Gator Nation.”

Let’s show Florida how it’s done. Right now, Oregon sits above Florida (and all other schools) atop the leader board in 1st place (http://www.nike.com/us/en_us/c/basketball/fuel-your-team
). Let’s finish this one off right.

This event is a celebration and run-off of the video that Oregon Pit Crew did with Nike Fuel on YouTube in conjunction with the stellar play that Oregon had in the recent March Madness tournament.

You will NOT want to miss this opportunity at the University of Oregon.

Oregon Men’s Basketball: Oregon Ducks Ranked in Top 25 For First Time Since 2007
The Oregon Ducks have cracked the Associated Press Men’s Basketball Top 25 Rankings for the first time since 2007.
Dana Altman and the Oregon Ducks (14-2, 3-0) have started off with stellar opening conference play and extend an impressive home winning streak at Matthew Knight Arena. After upset heavy favorite Arizona on Thursday night, Oregon went on to defeat Arizona State late Sunday evening. They travel to Southern California this weekend to face USC (Thursday, 8:00 PM PST) No. 24 UCLA (Saturday, 1:00 PM PST).

Oregon Football: Ducks Unveil New ‘Storm LA’ Uniforms for Upcoming USC Game

The latest news out of Eugene this morning? The Oregon Ducks will be wearing some beautiful new jerseys on November 3rd against USC. In celebration, we present you with a caption contest for this image.

Of course, this is no surprise to anyone who has followed the Oregon football team for more than a few weeks. Uniforms have been a highlight for the Ducks in the “Nike-era” of Oregon football. In the most important game of the season to date, however, the unveiled jerseys certainly represent reason to be excited.

The Nike Pro Combat “system of dress” represents the latest stage of innovation from Nike fly wire and equipment technology, featuring extremely reduced weight and high-tenacity woven thread.

Oregon’s white vapor uniforms feature an enhanced “wing design” now iconic to Ducks unis, mesh backs optimal for cooling and ventilation, and a hyper strong base layer. Nike has done a beautiful job in uniforming Oregon for the weekend.

To see a photo album of each of these pictures, click this photograph or this link. To watch a video on how the uniform was designed by Nike, click this link.

What do YOU think of these new jerseys? Will they give the Ducks an edge over the USC Trojans in LA? What are you most excited about for the game?

Oregon Ducks Pit Crew: Nike Blog Write-Up On Custom New Pit Crew Gear

This morning, the Oregon Ducks Pit Crew was given a great surprise: we had a featured write-up on the Nike Blog!

Complete with pictures advertising our new gear, check out the entire story by clicking this link. The post was overwhelmingly favorable and can be read here:

Ever wonder what kind of gear Nike makes for the student section at its favorite university’sbasketball games? If your answer is no, I get it: it’s a pretty niche topic. You may not want to continue. Here’s a cat GIF page; I’m particularly fond of the ejection system one. But if this interests you, hit the jump for the full gamut of Oregon Pit Crew shirts and apparel by Nike.

This year, that full gamut includes the annual Pit Crew shirt (I’m a large, by the way …), warm-up pants and a shooting shirt. No plan for another round of Oregon Air Jordans, but anything could happen. These won’t be for sale publicly, so if you want one … uh, go to Matt Knight Madness tonight in Eugene and be a U of O student. (H/T to Kevin W. for the pictures.)

Please share our new gear and if you have it, wear it at every game!

Come to the volleyball game tonight against Washington.
